More recently, 'Digital' or 'Computer' Forensics is a frequently used expression that's been popularised through Television shows such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". The reality of Digital forensics is very much more routine than described in these types of programmes (of course!) Having said that, technological forensics provides a fascinating occupation for a lot of professionals today. A Digital Forensics specialist will find and interpret digital-artefacts that can often be utilised to solve offences.
